TV Shows Everyone Should Watch

TV Shows Everyone Should Watch

There are so many wonderful shows that have been put on television. However, not every show is a classic. Not every show can be watched multiple times and not feel like chore. In this blog post, I want to share with you all a few tv shows that are timeless classics.

What are "timeless classics?"

Timeless classics are tv shows or movies that someone can watch over and over again without the show feeling dated. Everytime you watch the show or movie, the movie/show seems to be just as good, if not better, than the first time you watched it.

I might be a little biased because I like to watch shows more than once ususally, unless the show is incredibly long or I just didn't like it like that. But the shows I am going to list under this post for sure, are back-to-back watch worthy.

Let's get into today's blog!

Number 1: The Parkers

Special shoutout to the cast of 'The Parkers'- especially Mo'Nique and Countess Vaughn; y'all did your thing on this show. This show was perfectly casted and I could just tell that there was so much great chemistry amongst the entire cast.

'The Parkers' is a show that is hilarious each and everytime you watch it. The jokes never get old; it doesn't matter how many times you watch this show.

Some of my favorite episodes from 'The Parkers' are:

  1. "Grape Nuts"
  2. "It's A Family Affair"
  3. "Blind Date Mistake"
  4. "A Knockout Times Two"
  5. "It's Showetime"
  6. "Food Fiasco"
  7. "Sign of the Shaq"
  8. "Dead Clown Walking"
  9. "The Mack Is Like Wo!"
  10. "Judge Not a Book"

Seasons 1, 4, & 5 are my favorites! Hands down. The entire show is amazing and I don't think this could ever be replicated.

Number 2: Boy Meets World

Am I the only one that loves the Feeny call? Every time Eric does the Feeny call, I can't help but smile.

I love that this show was comedic but serious at the same time. I learned a lot of things from 'Boy Meets World' and there are plots that still apply to me now as an adult. As a kid, I learned from Cory, Topanga, Shawn, Eric, Angela, Jack, and even Minkus. Watching 'Boy Meets World' as an adult I understand Mr. Feeny, Mr. Matthews, Mr. Turner. My perspective is different.

From a relationship perspective, there were things that Cory & Topanga and Shawn & Angela went through in their respective relationships that I have been able to learn from.

I'm not a parent, yet- as of this blog post- but when I do, there are things I may take from the Mr. & Mrs. Matthews, Mr. Feeny, and Mr. Turner handbook that I may want to use as a way to treat my kids.

Every episode was a lesson and I think that's what I most valued about this show.

Number 3: The 100

The 100 is one of the shows that require you to pay attention. If you don't pay attention you could miss a lot very easily. One thing I really love about this show is that no matter how many times you watch it, the plot be plotting. I've probably watched this show (from beginning to end) five times, and one thing about it...

The drama, the plot...everything is chef's kiss. Y'all gotta watch this show if you haven't done so.

My favorite plots from 'The 100' are... Mount Weather, Allie, Diyoza, Sanctum.

Number 4: Charmed

Every time 'Charmed' used to air on tv I used to be SEATED! Charmed was really my show. Although this show isn't practical (until further notice) it is still a really good watch. I especially enjoy watching the seasons with baby Wyatt, Cole, grown up Chris, Le0 & The Triad, etc. 'Charmed' had so many interesting plot twists.

Number 5: My Wife & Kids

As for as I'm concerned...Michael Kyle is the funniest tv dad and husband till date. Damon Wayans did his thing with show. This is yet, another show where the entire cast had great chemistry. Damon Wayans and Tisha Campbell (Jay) played such a hilarious on screen couple. Their tv children- Jr, Kady, and Claire- were also incredibly hilarious and talented.

Like 'The Parkers', 'My Wife & Kids' is a show that never gets old no matter how many times you watch it. Every episode is genuinely funny.

A few of my favorite episodes are:

  1. "The Maid" (starring Betty White)
  2. "Jay The Artist"
  3. "Table For Too Many: Part 1"
  4. "Table For Too Many: Part 2"
  5. "Claire's New Boyfriend"

Number 6: Martin

If I had to sum up 'Martin' into one word...I would say "laughter."
Laughter because everything about this show is hilarious from the delivery of the words to Tommy not having a job but always having money, Cole being dumb, Sheneneh, Jerome, Rosco, the Martin vs Pam banter, Bruh Man, Hustle Man...everything.

A few of my favorite episode:

  1. "Guard Your Grill"
  2. "Mother of the Bride"
  3. "Suspicious Minds"- this the episode of the gif used above.
  4. "The Tooth Will Set You Free"
  5. "The Romantic Weekend"

This video never ceases to make me laugh.
